Stars and Fast Scrolls in MOUNT RNG
Timed Luck and roll-speed items that only pay if you already sat down to roll.
Stars and Fast Scrolls are the two shop items people buy when a potion still feels slow. A Star improves Luck for a window. A Fast Scroll speeds the roll animation so that same window fits more pulls. Neither replaces friends, the TaleSun group, or a Luck potion. They multiply a session that already has a plan. Read how to get Luck first, then the potions page for the bottle ladder, then this page for the two extras.
MOUNT RNG updates about every two weeks. Shop tooltips move. Copy the number from tonight’s item, do not memorize a 2025 blog. The Luck calculator has a potion field for that reason: type what the shop shows, including a Star if you are about to pop one.
What a Star is for
A Star is a Luck spike you pay Essence for. It is not a mount. It is not a key. It is a timer. Pop it after:
- Live codes are redeemed and the exclusive is equipped.
- Friends who can sit are in the twelve-player server.
- Like, group, and notifications are actually on.
- You have a block of time long enough to notice the timer.
If any of those four is missing, the Star is a donation to the shop. Older expired strings such as FARMTIME42 and LIKES500LOL once paid Stars as code rewards. Do not budget around a reprint. Check the expired archive if a thumbnail still promises a free Star.
What a Fast Scroll is for
A Fast Scroll does not change odds. It changes how many rolls fit inside a Luck window. That is useful when Ultra Luck or a Star is already ticking and the animation is the bottleneck. It is useless when you are AFK in a menu or walking Magma Lair. Buy it for the same sit-down as the potion, not as a default shop click.
Older event codes such as SPOOKY13 paid Fast Scrolls. Those strings are archive material now. If a new code pays a scroll, treat it as a window you did not have to farm, then still stack free Luck before you open it.
Spend order with Essence
The Essence guide and sell guide already rank keys above luxury. Insert Stars and scrolls after the next island key and after the potion that matches tonight:
- Next island key if a badge is missing.
- Luck potion that matches a real window.
- Star if the window is long and the pool is already the island you wanted.
- Fast Scroll if the animation, not the wallet, is the limit.
Never buy a scroll to “feel productive” on starter grass while Celestial Peak is still locked. The island map is the better spend.
Sit through the timer you paid for
A Star that expires while you are in the shop, on the quest board, or hopping servers is a wasted bottle with extra steps. Stay on the island you already unlocked, keep the roll button in reach, and do not start Magma Lair mid-timer. Quests can wait; the quest page is for the minutes between windows, not during them. If you must hop to fix a dead friend stack, do it before you pop the Star, not after.
Do not stack two Stars because the first one “felt weak.” The weak feeling is usually a missing friend or a starter-grass pool. Fix the stack, then buy one extra if the window is still long. The sell guide is how you fund that second buy without deleting a code exclusive.
Game Passes are not Stars
+200 Luck and Ultra Luck +420 are permanent layers. A Star is temporary. Do not skip the Game Pass value page and buy five Stars because a pass felt expensive. Passes change every night. Stars change one night.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Does a Star replace a Luck potion?
No. Stack free Luck, then a potion, then a Star if the window is still long enough to matter.
Does a Fast Scroll raise rarity?
No. It only fits more rolls into a timed buff. Odds stay on Luck and the island pool.
Should I buy Stars on starter grass?
Usually no. Unlock the next island first so the faster, luckier rolls happen on a better table.
Can codes still give Stars or scrolls?
Modern description codes lean toward exclusive mounts. Older Star and scroll strings live in the expired archive.
