How to Farm Essence in MOUNT RNG
Turn duplicate rolls into keys and potions without deleting a showcase mount.
Essence is the shop blood of MOUNT RNG. You earn it by converting mounts you will not ride, by finishing quests, and sometimes by older codes that paid currency instead of a model. You spend it on island keys, Luck potions, Stars, Fast Scrolls, and craft materials. If Luck is the odds, Essence is the number of times you are allowed to pull those odds this week. This page is the convert-and-spend rule set. Read how to get Luck when the problem is the roll table, not the wallet.
What to convert
Keep exclusives from the Codes Hub and anything the tier list marks as a showcase identity. Keep the first copy of a mount you actually like looking at. Convert duplicates, commons that clone each other, and mid-rares you already replaced with a better silhouette. Farm scripts expose a “sell below X Essence” slider for a reason: most of the catalog is fuel. If you cannot decide, ask a simpler question — would you screenshot this mount tomorrow? If not, it is Essence.
Double Essences is the Game Pass that doubles this conversion. It does not make rolls luckier. It makes junk more valuable. The Game Pass value page ranks it against the +200 and +420 luck passes. Buy it when your sessions already produce a lot of sellable mounts and the shop is the bottleneck.
How to convert without rage-selling a keeper
- Equip the mount you want to be seen on. That lock-in stops the “I sold my favorite” story.
- Sort inventory by newest or by value, depending on the current UI.
- Sell or disenchant in batches after a roll window, not after every common, unless you are out of slots.
- Stop when you hit the next key price plus one potion. Extra Essence sitting in the bag is fine. Extra Essence spent on a third Fast Scroll you will not use tonight is not.
If a hub offers Auto Disenchant, read auto farm scripts before you enable a threshold you have not tested on a cheap mount.
Quests and islands as Essence engines
Repeatable quests are a quieter farm than rolling. They refill the shop while you do something that is not staring at a roll animation. The quests page lists the board habit. Islands change both the roll table and the mob field. Autumn Fields through Celestial Peak, plus Puppeteer, Community, Super Farm, and Magma Lair, are mapped on the islands page. A new island is usually a better Essence rate than another hour on starter grass, which is why how to unlock islands tells you to buy the key before the luxury potion.
Magma Lair sits under Celestial Peak and drops materials as well as combat loot. It is not a first-night Essence farm. Clear the unlock guide and the Magma Lair walkthrough before you treat lava as a money printer.
Spend order that does not stall the account
- Next island key if it opens a badge you do not have.
- Luck potion that matches a real sit-down window, after free Luck is on.
- Stars or Fast Scrolls only if the window is already paid for and inventory is not the bottleneck.
- Cosmetics never, if the alternative is a key.
That order is how you avoid the common trap: a beautiful potion night on a starter pool, followed by a week of being broke when the next island goes on sale in your head.
Codes and Essence
Modern codes lean toward exclusive mounts, not bags of currency. Older strings in the expired archive paid 10k–15k Essence. Do not plan a budget around a reprint. If a new code pays Essence, treat it as a key you did not have to farm, then go farm anyway so the next patch does not leave you empty.
When to stop farming and start rolling
Farm until the next decision is funded. Then roll. Alternating one sell and one roll forever feels busy and produces neither a key nor a rare. The how to play loop is batch-based for this reason. Collection games reward accounts that can switch modes on purpose.
If you are Essence-rich and still unhappy, the problem is not the wallet. It is the pool or the Luck stack. Go to the Guides Hub and pick the page that matches the actual blockage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Should I sell rare mounts for Essence?
Sell duplicates and anything you would not screenshot. Keep exclusives and the first copy of a silhouette you like.
Is Double Essences worth Robux?
Yes if you already convert a lot of junk. It does not replace Luck passes when the bottleneck is odds.
What should I buy with Essence first?
The next island key, then a potion that matches a session you will actually finish.
Do quests give more Essence than rolling?
They give steadier Essence. Rolling gives spikes and catalog ticks. Use both, in batches.
